High speed wireless LAN of 11/54Mbps conformed to IEEE802.11b/g, a USB mini-B connecter conformed to a USB 2.0 (480Mbps) and a SD card slot are equipped as outside interface. They can be selected according to the way to download information. Because there is also a stereo speaker on both sides, reading out of books or audio explanation of an advertisement are available.
Fujitsu Frontech Limited and Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced the joint development and commercial introduction of samples of a ubiquitous browser, “FLEPia” that adopts color electronic paper first in the world. This product has a large display 12 mm thick, weighs 320g (A5-size model). It can run 50 hours continuously with a fully charged battery. A large amount of information (a year of newspapers翻譯社 two years of weekly magazines or 5翻譯社000 volumes of books) can be stored in this terminal by using 4GB SD card (option).
“FLEPia” realizes compactness and low power by electronic paper which can display a still image continuously without power supply. There are two types of size, A4-size (12 inch) and A5-size (8 inch). A4-size weighs 480g and A5-size weighs 320g. They measure 12mm and can run for 50 hours at most.

There are two types of size, A4-size (12 inch) which can display largely and portable A5-size (8 inch). The resolution of both types is the XGA standard of 768 x 1024. A color display is adopted and 8 colors or 4,096 colors can be configured.

“FLEPia” equips the Japanese version of Windows®CE5.0 by Microsoft Corporation. Web browser and e-mail are available. Because “FLEPia” can also display data of variety of applications by Microsoft Corporation such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel, referring of a document or an attachment of e-mail is available. A software keyboard and a touch-pen enable to input short sentence for e-mail.
